It was sketchy, but love gobul, Ludy and chasing lagi to his sleep spot.
I found it added to the environments.
With wirebugs I can see it definitely working.

It’s very likely for MH6 but not so much for an expansion. An entire combat system has to be designed

I hope plesioth comes back, it was one of my favourite monsters in MHGU, and also because it would be fun to see people’s reactions to having to fight plesioth again

Honestly i would love to see them add it after what World changed as the meta feel for the MH games. as for the older games i didnt hate it. it added to the challenge of being in that monster homefield. and also seem logical in how the weapon could be used in the water enviroments

Personally I really loved the underwater exploration in MH Tri , but I did find moving in underwater environment take time to get used to, I started playing Subnautica recently, the main game is in underwater, but I find the movement underwater to be fairly smooth to a certain extends, so I think as long as Capcom get the control scheme to a smooth experience then I think underwater would be a great gameplay to bring back into the MH franchise.

Haven’t gotten the chance to play 3u. I don’t think they will put it in rise or rise sunbreak. Just because I don’t think they will mix the wirebug and swimming mechanics in the same game. Normally capcom puts one unique mechanic to the normal hunts per game. I could be wrong and I’m fine with that.

I don’t think it’ll be implemented in rise. I think it might be something for the next gen console.

It’s been so long since I hadn’t played MH Tri, underwater combat wasn’t my forte, but I enjoyed it. It would be interesting if Rise decides to bring this system back, but that would mean more aquatic type monsters.
So far, Rise has Royal Ludroth, Tetranadon, Somnacanth, and Jyuratodus.

I really doubt we’ll get some thing as big and game changing as underwater in sunbreak but I really hope we get it back in MH6. Earlier this year I went back and played 3U on 3DS with Great sword, Long sword, and Hammer and didn’t really have any problems with the underwater parts. With how much smoother newer MonHun is I feel like the devs could really iron out all the major issues people had with it.

Never understood the argument that it’s “sluggish”. Of course it’s going to be, you’re in the water, and humans adapted to be on land; it’s only natural that you’re sluggish. I absolutely love MH3U and the underwater mechanic.

It Is sluggish. That’s why people don’t want to go into the water since it reduces mobility a significant amount. Adding something that allows us to move faster, like a Wirebug in fish form, would be less tedious and more fun for a wider audience

MH: Rise is my first ever MH game and I’m totally addicted (even if it gives me anxiety and my blood boil). Really cool to hear there’s some sequels in dev’t. Aside from “Daybreak”, does anyone know if they’re coming to Switch?

It’s sunbreak and yes if you follow their twitter yes it will come put on both pc and switch summer 2022. But switch is too shit to have good gameplay people would actually switch from switch to pc fr
